Leaders with the Pink Heals of Kern County say they are almost done with their very own pink fire truck.
The truck was donated to the organization by the Kern County Firefighters Muster Association. When the pink fire truck is ready to go, it will tour all over Kern County helping raise the spirits of many cancer patients.
The plan is to name the truck “Shane” after the woman who inspired the start of the foundation. She passed away from breast cancer last summer.
“We’re hopefully, gonna start having those resources available, event at these events that we go to. We just want woman to know that were here and were here to help them. Whatever they need were here,” said Dee Jae Holmes, Pink Heals of Kern County.
Pink Heals of Kern County helps cancer patients with medication, hot meals and even babysitting services.
