Two people were arrested Friday afternoon after officials said they discovered a meth lab in East Bakersfield.
Residents living near the home on Broken Arrow Avenue in East Bakersfield said they were shocked when officers with the Bakersfield Police Department served a search warrant.
Officials said 33-year-old Jessy Bowman and 25-year-old Maximus Sallam were arrested on various charges of the manufacturing of methamphetamine.
Cheyenne Cleveland said, "I've notice a real bad smell around here but didn't know where it was coming from."
One neighbor told 23ABC, "Ohhh man, it was so crazy. It's like watching Breaking Bad."
Police said they have to take extra safety precautions when dealing with these types of chemicals.
