BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Disney On Ice starts tonight a children will be able to see some of their favorite characters at Rabobank Arena.

Some Bakersfield kids were given a special opportunity to meet them in person.

The cast of characters and other skaters from Disney On Ice met kids at the Bakersfield Police Activities League Wednesday, sharing their experiences about traveling the world.

The kids also got to create scenes from Disney movies like Lion King, Lilo & Stitch and Peter Pan.

"It's nice when they come see the show because of their faces, and the audience is insane when we have shows," said Carly Albrecht, an ensemble skater for Disney On Ice. "So it's really fun to see them enjoy this and everything really."

In addition to getting to meet up with Mickey and Minnie, the PAL kids got 100 free tickets to the opening performance of "Passport to Adventure," at Rabobank Arena.

The show will be in town through Sunday.

Tickets start at $18 and are available on Ticketmaster or at the Rabobank Arena Box Office.
