ROSAMOND, Calif. -

A man was arrested after deputies said they found an estimated $194,000 in marijuana products in his home.

Over the past several weeks, deputies from the Rosamond Substation received information regarding subjects possibly growing marijuana at a home in the 5800 Block of Holiday Avenue.

An investigation ensued and deputies said they gathered enough information to obtain a search warrant for the home.

On March 4, at about 3:30 p.m., deputies from the Rosamond and Mojave Substations served the search warrant at the home.

Deputies said they found about 58 pounds of processed marijuana, 199 live marijuana plants, one rifle, one handgun, and other evidence indicative of marijuana sales and cultivation during the search.

Officials said the street value of the processed marijuana and the live marijuana plants was estimated at about $194,000.

According to police, 31-year-old Diego Garate was arrested at his home for marijuana cultivation, possession of marijuana for sale, and maintaining a place for drug trafficking.

He was booked into the Mojave Jail and bail was set at $35,000.00.
