BAKERSFIELD - We're learning new details about a deadly crash Thursday night in east Bakersfield.
Bakersfield Police say the driver of a white van, identified as Mary Elvia Cruz, hit a woman as she was crossing east Brundage lane.
Cruz stopped and tried to help, but another car hit the victim and then took off.
The woman later died at KMC.
Cruz is not facing charges, but officers are looking for the driver of the second car, which is described as a light colored compact, similar to a 90's Honda or Toyota.
