MCFARLAND, Calif. - The McFarland Police Department says 31-year-old Noe Landeros was arrested Friday for domestic violence, cruelty to a child and for murdering a fetus.
Police say they responded to a reported domestic violence incident. When they arrived they learned that Landeros physically assaulted his wife who was currently three months pregnant.
Police say the pregnant wife went to the hospital with complaints of pain and other complications as a result of the attack. Detectives took over around 11 p.m. and learned that the unborn child died as a result of the abuse.
Landeros was initially arrested for domestic violence and cruelty to a child and detectives went to the Kern County Receiving Facility where he was being held and additionally charged Landeros with murder to a fetus.
