Police release name of man killed by pickup truck in central Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD -
Investigators with the Bakersfield Police Department have released the name of the man killed Friday on the intersection of Brundage Lane and H street.
Officers say Darren Bruce Look, 48, died as he was taken to Kern Medical Center. Look was hit by a pickup truck driven by Sukdevh Singh Gill, 55, of Bakersfield. Gill was traveling eastbound on Brundage, heading towards H shortly after 7 p.m. Friday when the incident happened.
Alcohol does not seem to be a factor in the accident. Investigators on the scene did not say how fast the driver was going when Gill hit Look.
