Police: Shoplifting suspect threatened employees

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Police Department is seeking the community’s assistance in identifying and locating a shoplifting suspect.

On Nov. 18, the suspect entered the Walgreens store located at 40 Chester Ave. where he selected and concealed merchandise, officials said.

When the suspect was confronted by a store employee the suspect told the employee that he would hurt the employee if the employee tried to stop him, officials said.

The suspect used his shoulder to shove the employee out of the way and the suspect fled from the store. The suspect is described as a black man, 45-50 years of age, 5-feet--inches to 5-feet-8-inches tall with a thin build, light complexion, and a thin mustache. He was wearing a brown sheep skin coat with a fur collar and piping.
