FRESNO, Calif. - Weather has plagued the Central Valley with drought, and happening Friday, President Obama will be in California to discuss the crisis.
Obama, along with California Senators Dianne Feinstein, Barbara Boxer and Congressman Jim Costa will arrive in Fresno at about 2 p.m. Friday afternoon.
Feinstein and Boxer recently introduced a joint water bill that would bring more that $300 million to farmers.
The Republican water bill passed the House, but was tabled in the Senate earlier in February.
The difference between the bills is the impact on the environment.
Staff members for Valadao and Nunes, who also represent the Fresno area, told the Fresno Bee that both Republicans have not been invited to the presidential appearance.
