BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -
Proceeds for a farewell reception will go towards students attending a seminar and Presidential Inauguration.
Rep. Jim Costa will attend a farewell reception in his honor hosted by California State University-Bakersfield and the Center for Kern Political Education on Friday, Dec. 7.
The proceeds of the event will go to help 20 CSUB students attend a 10-day seminar and the Presidential Inauguration in Washington, DC.
Since 2005, Costa has represented the 20th Congressional District which includes Kern County.
As of Jan. 3rd, Rep. Costa will represent the newly drawn 16th Congressional District that includes parts of Fresno and Madera Counties and all of Merced County.
