BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A rally to improve birth and U.S. maternity care was held today at Emerald Cove Park in Bakersfield.
The rally was to raise awareness and promote better practices for birthing.
Mayor Harvey Hall proclaimed September 1, 2014 as Improved Birth Day for the city.
Rallys also took place in over 100 cities around the country.
