BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Kern County Fire Department said the fire is near complete containment, but the area needs rehabilitation.
The fire is at 92% containment as of 7 p.m., Sunday, July 21.
Crews will continue containment. There are some areas that air resources are needed due to steep terrain, fire officials said.
All roads are open and evacuation orders have been lifted, according to fire officials.
Fort Tejon State Park is closed until further notice, officials said.
The official cause is unknown.
Fire officials said part of the job now is rehabilitation of the area. They will repair disturbed soil caused by fire damage and firefighting. This protects the forest watershed, prevents erosion and protects native plant life, officials said.
