BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Red Cross is putting on a disaster preparedness workshop this afternoon at the Independent Livings Center of Kern County in southwest Bakersfield.
Today's class is designed for teens with disabilities. The class is scheduled to be from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
The training is an effort to help people be prepared in the event of a disaster and what to do before it happens.
It's part of seven 'Empowered to Go' workshops with the next one taking place August 8.
