BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -

The American Red Cross Kern Chapter volunteers are on their way to deliver extra cots and blankets to the Bakersfield Homeless Center due to their increased capacity because of the freezing temperatures expected throughout the weekend.

Kern County OES will continue to monitor the needs of the shelters and notify the Red Cross of any additional support needs throughout this freezing weather streak.
