Northbound P St. is now open near Vista High School and Bakersfield Police have called off the search for a gunman.
Bakersfield police were called out to the area near 200 P Street at about 9 a.m. regarding the report of a man armed with a gun.
Vista High School's lockdown was lifted at about 10:10 a.m.
Police were searching in the canal area behind the school for two possible suspects.
Police were searching for a man described as Hispanic with a white baseball cap, white shirt and neon-green socks.
Police said they were also looking for another man described as Hispanic of Cambodian who also has on a white shirt.
Police have since called off the search.
