BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Residents in Northwest Bakersfield are on edge after two sexual assault occurred near there neighborhood in the last two weeks.
On Thursday, many residents took to Facebook to share a composite of the possible sexual assault suspect.
"I've seen it on Facebook and of course there are flyers all over the neighborhood about this guy," said Brittany Johnson who lives in the Riverlakes neighborhood.
According to police, a suspect entered a home on the 8700 block of Fox Run Drive through a woman's garage and then sexually assaulted her, Monday.
Another suspect is accused of raping a woman near California Avenue and Oak Street on September 2.
Some residents believe that the two suspects described in the case could be the same person, stating in a flyer: "I may be wrong, but I don't care see the picture and both eyebrows, eyes, mouth look like the same guy!!...I will not forget those eyes the same on both (pictures) below!!"
Yet, the Bakersfield Police have said they don't have any evidence to indicate that the two suspect are the same person.
"It's scary to think that you are not even safe in your own home, you think even during the day when I am home by myself, you have no idea what's going on around you," said neighbor Stacia Smith.

As for the suspect being connected to the string of sexual assaults in East Bakersfield, the BPD said that there is no connection and that, that suspect is described as a black male.
