Reward jumps to $16k for information about elderly Delano man's death

DELANO, Calif. - The reward for information leading to an arrest in a Delano murder case has risen to $16,000.
The Delano Chamber of Commerce put up $5,000 to help catch the person responsible for the death of 88-year-old Johnny Espinoza. The community contributed the rest to the fund, that was at $13,000 as of Oct. 2.
Espinoza's body was found last month in the truck of his car submerged in a canal just east of Delano.

No arrests have been made so far.
Espinoza was a veteran, a long-time leader in the Delano community and a former member of the planning commission.
Espinoza's funeral was held Oct. 4.
