Kern County Sheriff's Office deputies have arrested a man wanted in the fatal shooting of Joshua Lambert.
At about 8:45 p.m. on May 25, deputies were sent to the 1600 block of Flower Street regarding a shooting.
Deputies said they found 26-year-old Joshua Lambert and 26-year-old Montrice Maize both suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Both were taken by ambulance to Kern Medical Center where Lambert was pronounced dead a short time later.
Maize was treated and released with non-life threatening injuries.
Through the course of the investigation, detectives said they developed probable cause to arrest 22-year-old Robert Lorenzo Garrett for the murder of Lambert and the assault on Maize.
On Thursday, Garrett was arrested on charges of murder, attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon.
Garrett was booked at the Kern Jail and is being held without bail.
