BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A woman escaped serious injury after rolling her convertible on Highway 99 morning.
Officials with the California Highway Patrol said the driver was headed southbound on the 99, just south of Ming Avenue, when the car veered off the road.
Investigators said it started to run-up the embankment, when it started back down and rolled over.
The convertible top was down at the time, but the car landed upright.
Officials said the driver suffered minor injuries.
One officer said the ground cover on the hill may have prevented more serious injuries.
