BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A semi crash that had previously shut down the northbound lane of Weedpatch Highway at Muller Road after the truck overturned and crashed with one other vehicle, Saturday just before 5 a.m., has now been cleared.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the semi was hauling hay when its driver attempted to make a u-turn on Weedpatch Highway and Murller Road, south of Highway 58, but lost control and overturned, landing on its side.
Three other vehicles were behind it. Two of the drivers were able to swerve and dodge the semi, but one vehicle crashed into its trailer. The driver sustained minor injuries, and the passenger suffered moderate injuries.
Officials say they have cleared the road and placed the semi back on its wheels.
