BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Marching bands, cheerleaders, and classic cars will bring in the sixth annual Kern County Senior Games.

The event began Friday morning at 9 a.m. at the Rosewood Senior Living Center.

Senior living communities from all over the county will come together to compete in a rock wall climb, 2K walk, and even Wii bowling.  The games are designed to encourage successful living while building strength and endurance.

Proceeds from the event will go to Alzheimer's research and the Bakersfield Christmas for Seniors.
