BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A sentencing was announced today for the theft of property of an elderly victim.
Ryan Rodriguez was sentenced to one year of local custody following the jury trial and conviction of theft from an elder, possession of a forged instrument, and forgery.
During a one month period, Rodriguez forged 21 checks belonging to an 86-year-old victim.
