Several homes threatened in Oildale fire
Officials estimated $50 thousand in damages

OILDALE, Calif. - Several homes were threatened in Oildale after a fire broke out in a garage late Wednesday night.
County and city firefighters worked together to put out the blaze that ripped through a detached garage in the 800 block of Washington Ave. near Airport Drive.
Kern County Fire Officials said that the fire spread to the vacant home on the property, and threatened four others.
Power lines were also knocked down by the fire. Investigators estimated 50-thousand dollars in damages.
