BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - On August 20 at 2:30 p.m. Officer Peter Martinez of the Bakersfield Police Department was arrested for domestic violence while at the police department located on Truxtun Avenue.
Sergeant Joe Grubbs said the offense occurred in the 9000 block of Bremerton Court on August 15 around 9 p.m., but the offense wasn't reported to police until August 20.
Sgt. Grubbs said former Officer Martinez graduated from the Bakersfield Law Enforcement Training Academy on August 15.
He was booked into the Kern County Jail.
