Shafter celebrated the Cinco de Mayo holiday a day early

SHAFTER, Calif. - Shafter held a parade for Cinco de Mayo in Saturday may 4. It started downtown at 10 a.m. and ended with a fiesta around 8 p.m.
There were mariachi bands, food and horses. Some people said it was a way for the younger community to get to learn more about their heritage.
A few hundred people turned out to celebrate their community.
