Sheriff Youngblood's son, Aaron, sentenced to year in prison

Youngblood sentenced after plea deal

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The son of Kern County's Sheriff is sitting behind bars this morning.

Aaron Youngblood was sentenced to a year in jail after pleading no contest to drug possession while armed.

The plea deal led to 14 other drug and weapons-related charges being dropped.

Youngblood was arrested last April after officers with the Bakersfield Police Department found him sleeping in a truck and found an assortment of guns, drugs, and a stun gun reported stolen from a Sheriff's office vehicle.
