BAKERSFIELD - A deputy of the Kern County Sheriff's Office was injured in a training exercise Thursday afternoon.
Senior deputy Michael Booker was transported to Kern Medical Center after a target fell on him. Booker had injuries to his shoulder and back.
Three to four deputies were required to lift the target off of him.
The KCSO shooting range is at Hart Park.
