UPDATE (9:30AM 8/11) Three lanes are now open and traffic is now flowing at normal speed. The fourth lane will remain closed for a greater part of the day.
UPDATE (10:21 P.M. 8/10): According to KCFD, the Rose Fire is now fully contained. It burned a total of 338 acres. Two lanes on the southbound I-5 have opened, but traffic is still backed up for several miles.
According to Fort Tejon CHP two vehicle traffic collision one a tanker truck with fuel where the truck punctured and spilled fuel on roadway.
All southbound lanes are closed on the I-5 and being diverted to northbound lanes.
The driver in the box truck was seriously injured and was taken to a hospital in Valencia. The driver and passenger of the tanker truck were uninjured.
