BAKERSFIELD - Stinson Stationary Turned 65 Tuesday. The locally-owned office supply store opened back in 1947.

Ben F. Stinson came to Kern County in 1916 and established the Stinson Grocery Co., a company that stayed in business for 20 years, before the family switched to office supplies.

Ben Stinson III celebrated the milestone at the Southwest location on Stine Road and New Horizon. 

Customer were treated to Hamburgers, Hot dogs, pasta, drinks, music, and even a vintage Auto show. The Chevy Unlimited Club showcased classic vehicles from the 1940's.
