BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A man's missing motorcycle was found last night after the person who allegedly stole it, crashed in south Bakersfield.

Bakersfield police say a man in his 30s was riding the motorcycle near Panama Lane and Highway 99, when he crashed.

While officers were investigating the accident, they figured out the bike was stolen.

Raul Gomez is the owner of the motorcycle and said it was taken from him a few months back.

Gomez reported it to the DMV and the BPD and said there had been no leads about where the bike might be, until last night.

The driver was taken to the hospital to be treated, and will later be booked once he is released from the hospital.

The BPD said there were several warrants out for his arrests, so he will face those charges plus those that come from allegedly stealing the motorcycle.
