Stolen vehicle pursuit in Lamont nets three arrests

LAMONT, Calif. - On Wednesday at about 10:45 p.m., Kern County sheriff deputies from the Lamont Substation were notified that a vehicle was stolen from 10509 Santa Ana Street in Lamont, Calif.
The driver, who was later identified as Victor Flores, lead deputies on a high speed pursuit for approximately 10 minutes, deputies said.
Flores reached speeds of 100 mph and ran numerous stop signs in the area.
Flores eventually lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a residence on the Southwest corner of South Vineland and Mt. View Road.
Flores was quickly arrested by Sheriff Deputies.
Two juvenile passengers fled the accident on foot and where later located and arrested by Sheriff Deputies.
Flores and the juvenile passengers were arrested for the vehicle theft and failure to yield.
Deputies later determined all three subjects arrested were known Lamont criminal Street Gang members and were arrested for gang related charges.
No one was injured during the pursuit or subsequent arrests.
