BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Mayor Harvey Hall was honored at City Hall for his continued efforts in Bakersfield on Thursday morning.

The 'Stop the Violence Movement' honored Mayor Hall for his work and support for the community. 

Mayor Hall became Bakersfield 25th Mayor after the March 2000 election.  He was re-elected twice in the 2004 and 2008 city elections.

The Mayor was raised in Bakersfield and is a life-long Californian.  He attended Bakersfield High School, Bakersfield Community College, and San Francisco City College.  He is also the founder of Hall Ambulance Service, Inc., where he still serves as CEO and President.
