Suspect arrested for recent Oildale bank robberies

OILDALE, Calif. - A suspect was arrested for recent bank robberies that occurred in Oildale.
On May 4, Sheriff’s Detectives were able to develop probable cause to charge 23-year-old Jasdeep Dhaliwal with the robbery of two Oildale banks.
The first robbery occurred on January 9, 2013, at the Chase Bank, located at 2314 North Chester Avenue.
The second robbery occurred on April 17, 2013, at the Wells Fargo Bank, located at 1309 North Chester Avenue.
During both robberies Dhaliwal made threats of a firearm and demanded cash. D
haliwal was already in custody at the Kern County Jail for three un-related Bakersfield area bank robberies.
Dhaliwal was charged with two counts of robbery.
