Suspect arrested for setting house on fire in Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A woman was arrested this morning after she reportedly set her own house on fire.
At about 6:45 a.m., the Bakersfield Fire Department went to 428 Chester Avenue regarding a house fire.
According to officials a couch on the porch of the house was set on fire and the fire quickly spread to the attic.
Neighbors said the tenant admitted to starting the house fire. Officials arrested her on the scene.
Officials are still investigating this incident.
