Suspect arrested for stabbing man multiple times in Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A suspect was arrested after a man was found with multiple stab wounds early Sunday morning.
At about midnight, Bakersfield Police Officers said they went to a house located in the 2500 block of K Street, about a report of a peace disturbance and possible stabbing.
Officials said that when they arrived on scene, they found an male victim, 39, bleeding and suffering from multiple stab wounds.
The victim was taken by ambulance to a local hospital where he was medically treated and is listed in stable condition.
The suspect, 41-year-old Barney Daniel Simons, was arrested at the scene and booked into the Kern County Jail for assault with a deadly weapon and willful infliction of corporal injury.
