Suspect wanted for check forgery, identity theft

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -  

The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted for burglary, check forgery, and identity theft.
 
Between 05/18/12, and 08/17/12, the suspect depicted in the attached video surveillance photographs went to several local businesses and presented fictitious checks to purchase merchandise at the businesses.
 
The investigation revealed that the suspect used the victims’ personal information to create the fictitious checks.
 
The suspect appears to be a female, 30-35 years old, 5’05” tall, with long dark hair, and tattoos on her left shoulder, right forearm, chest, and back.
 
Anyone with information regarding the identity of this suspect is encouraged to call the Bakersfield Police Department at 327-7111 or Detective Todd Brown at 326-3861.
