Suspect wanted for robbery in Bakersfield

Suspect fled scene with no money

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -  

The Bakersfield Police Department is requesting the community’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted for robbery.
 
On Thursday, Jan. 17, at about 5 p.m., BPD Officers went to the Citizens Business Bank on 17th Street regarding a robbery.
 
Upon arrival, officers said they learned the female suspect entered the bank, approached one of the teller windows and handed a bank teller a note demanding money.
 
The teller began to yell and the suspect fled the business, with no cash.
 
The suspect is described as a Black Female, in her 30s, 5'4" tall, 130 lbs., thin build, with black, straight, shoulder-length hair, wearing a tweed hat with a dark brown band around it and a small brim, large, dark brown, plastic sunglasses, a gray knit scarf, cream colored shirt with dark sleeves and dark colored pants. The suspect was holding a dark colored dual-strapped purse.
