BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - 39-year-old Jeffrey Onstine was arrested without incident Sunday morning after an 8-hour SWAT standoff in West Bakersfield.

At about 1:35 a.m., Kern County Sheriff's Office received a call from an upset Onstine.  

Officials went to his house near Brimhall Road and Renfro Road, where the suspect was found with a rifle on his lawn.

Upon arrival, officials said Onstine went back inside his house.

His wife, 14-year-old daughter, and 9-year-old son were evacuated from the home.

At about 9:35 a.m., Onstine was arrested for spousal abuse and child endangerment.

No injuries were reported.
