TAFT, Calif. - A Kern County Firefighter is recovering after he was hurt during a fire Tuesday night in Taft.
Crews were called to a detached garage on fire on Lucard Street.
Fire officials said a firefighter received moderate injuries to his torso after he fell into a basement during the overhaul of the garage.
No word on the firefighter's condition yet.
