TAFT, Calif. - The Taft Fox Theater has raised enough money for three new projectors that had once put them in jeopardy of shutting down.
The theater was able to raise a $40,000 down payment for the projectors through its online Kickstarter account.
Come January 14, the old projectors will be useless as many film companies are moving towarda digital hard drives.
Theater officials said they plan to open its doors, Friday, if all goes well with the projector installation.
The three movies expected to be shown tonight, include, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, Gravity, and the remake of Carrie.
