TAFT, Calif. - Taft Union High School District Trustees will be meeting with parents next week regarding the recent on-campus shooting that has shocked that community and put students on edge.
The district has brought in a school safety expert as well as trauma experts to help the entire community heal and move forward from last week's event.
Now, they have planned several public forums to allow parents and local citizens the chance to express their concerns to the district and be involved in any policy changes.
The first meeting will be held next Tuesday, Jan. 22.
It will be held in the IRC lecture hall, which is located on the south side of the campus , near the cafeteria.
It will start at 5 p.m., and all district board members will be in attendance as well as Superintendent William McDermott.
