Taft woman charged with attempted murder for fight

TAFT, Calif. - A Taft woman was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
The Kern County Sheriff's Office officials said Savannah Nicole Cox was at home on Naylor Avenue in Taft Thursday when her boyfriend got involved in a fight with the victim.
Cox allegedly jumped in to help her boyfriend, leaving the other man with severe head injuries.
The other man was airlifted to Kern Medicial Center.
Cox is charged with attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, battery with serious bodily injury and making terrorist threats.
Cox is being held on $575,000 bail.
