In light of this Friday the 13th holiday, 23ABC decided to do a little ghost hunting. The Fox Theatre in Taft is notorious for being haunted.
Of the nine employees at the Fox Theatre the majority of them have had some kind of paranormal experience.
"I heard keys jingling, and I thought they're (my coworkers) are playing a joke on me. So I wait and start walking up, and those doors right there- BOOM!" Exclaimed Fox Theatre employee Richie Brown.
Built in 1918, the theatre has burnt down twice. But paranormal investigators say restless spirits remain very much intact.
"I sense about 15 people, ages seven on up," said parnormal investigator Kim Owens.
During our investigation, employee Richie and the two paranormal investigators, along with myself, were the only ones in the building. As we were heading down into the basement., Richie told us the newly installed lighting system shuts on and off at random. At that point in our story, the lights had flickered.
Medium Kim uses an Ovilus machine to communicate with spirits. It takes temperature and electromagnetic field readings, and matches those numbers up with specific words. At one point, we did ask the spirits if they wanted to communicate with us and the machine replied "green", That was the same color of the shirt our reporter Lindsey Adams was wearing.
"We might have a lot more things happening here, as long as they don't cause physical harm, they're welcome!" Said Brown.
