FRESNO - An air tanker assigned to the Shirley Fire had to make a hard landing Sunday night, sending sparks flying.
The tanker was landing at the Fresno Airport when the plane's nose gear collapsed due to a hydraulic problem.
The air tanker was damaged, but the two crew members on board were not injured.
