BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The full scope of of the Target credit data breach is now becoming apparent.
Forty million Target customers had their credit information stolen after shopping at Target in the three weeks following Thanksgiving.
Chase Bank is telling its customers they estimate 3 million of their accounts were affected.
Bakersfield chase customers 23ABC spoke to said the bank has been very good about letting them know if their account was impacted.
Target says it is cooperating with the government's investigation of the debit and credit card hack.
They say they are working with the Secret Service and the Department of Justice to figure out how the information was stolen during the three week span.
More than a dozen customers have a file lawsuits against the company.
Local chase customers 23ABC spoke to said they don't think they'll join any class action lawsuit against Target stores.
