BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A teen died after his vehicle drifted from the roadway and struck a tree Friday night.

Officials said 18-year-old Jesus Bravo was driving down Lerdo Highway at about 8 p.m., last night when his vehicle left the road and stuck a tree.

According to authorities, the accident happened two miles west of Driver Road in Shafter.

Bravo was pronounced dead at the scene. 

No further information is available at this time.

The Shafter Police Department is investigating the accident.
