TEHACHAPI, California - The City of Tehachapi is coming together to support a local woman with Cancer.

Tammy Wallace, a local real estate agent, has always been a pillar in the community. She raised $100,000 For Relay For Life, raised funds for a little girl who had leukemia, and has been involved in Main street and Chamber of Commerce.

On October 1, Wallace was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colin Cancer and that's when the community decided to give back.

Nearly a dozen local businesses have donated prizes, food and donations to create a Thanksgiving Dinner Fundraiser. The "Kick Cancer To The Curb" Fundraiser will be held at Jakes Steak House on Thanksgiving Day. There will be two seatings for the meal, 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Tickets are $25 dollars and include a full Thanksgiving meal with all the fixings, dessert and non-alcoholic drinks. Wine, beer and mixed drinks will be served as well at an extra cost.

There will also be raffle tickets sold at the event. Each raffle prize is worth at least $500. The raffle tickets will be drawn on Sunday, Sept. 25th.
