BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Schools in the Tehachapi School District and El Tejon School District are closed Thursday due to snow and ice, according to the Kern County Superintendent of Schools.
Both districts had already been on two-hour delays for much of Thursday morning. Tehachapi and the Frazier Park area received heavy amounts of snow during the recent winter storm.
It's unknown if the schools will be open Friday.
