The results are in, and while Tehachapi did not win first place in the national contest, it did in the small community division.
That win means they will get a $25,000 grant towards a new dog park at Meadowbrook Park.
Marley’s Mutts teamed up with the city of Tehachapi to try to get a new irrigation system, agility course, splash pads and possibly new grass.
Zack Skow, the Executive Director of Marley’s Mutts said that they were very successful, considering how this was their first time entering the contest.
Skow says they plan on participating in next year’s contest.
