BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The 6th annual walk, run, and ride for brain injury continued its success this morning at Pioneer Village in the Kern County museum in Chester Avenue.
The Bakersfield walk is one of 13 walk sites in California aimed to raise money and awareness for the Brain Injury Association of California.
The unique event promotes awareness of brain injury throughout Kern County.
Three additional events also took place in conjunction with that annual walk. A 5K run, bicycle ride and motorcycle poker run were added this year along with a health fair.
The brain injury survivors participated in the victory lap and all participants joined in with them after the first lap.
Bakersfield was the third stop in the 13 location tour that started on March 2, and goes till May 5.
